Originally founded by Stanford engineering graduates in 2012, Royole has beaten larger, more established competitors to launch the world’s first commercial foldable smartphone.
A combination of mobile phone and tablet, the Royole Flexpai features an ultra-thin, fully flexible display that can be folded from 0-180 degrees . The unit can be used either folded or unfolded, giving it the portability of a smartphone plus the screen size of a high-definition tablet.
Further, when folded, three screens (primary, secondary and edge) are available allowing users to take and make calls from the edge screen whilst the device is fully folded.
